Household Trash & Recycling

Curbside trash and recycling are collected weekly. Please place your waste in your designated collection location by 6 a.m. on your collection day. Trash must be bagged and placed in a trash can with a tight-fitting lid. Recycling can be placed in any container, as long as it is NOT a plastic bag, If your trash is not collected by 4:30 p.m. on your collection day please call 311 to report a missed collection.

Bulk Trash 

During normal operations, the City will collect up to three bulk items. You must call 311 to schedule a collection. If bulk trash collection is suspended you are responsible for properly disposing of those items. Call 311 to find the location of the nearest Residential Drop-Off Center.

High Grass & Weeds

A good rule of thumb to follow during the "Grow Season" is to Mow & Go! Mow your grass about every 2-3 weeks making sure your grass does not exceed 6 inches in height. 

Rat Prevention

The best way to prevent rats is to cut off their food supply and not provide hiding places. Use a trash can with a tight-fitting lid. Keep your yard and alley free of trash, standing water, and other debris. Be sure to clean up after your pets and keep your grass cut. If you are in need of rat rubout services, call 311.
